Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, died one after being stung by the tail of a stingray on September 4, 2006. The whole world was greatly saddened by the uncommon passing of this great Australian naturalist and conservationist, who was known for his way with animals.
Like many people who seem to “march to the beat of their own drum,” Irwin was born on the cusp of Pisces and Sagittarius. His actual birth date is February 22, 1962. The fact that he was born on the cusp accounts for his adventurous side and the fact that he also has Venus in Pisces (which method a love for water) may account as to why he was so friendly with creatures in the rivers and oceans.
Like many celebrities, Irwin was also born with four planets (a stallion) in the wild and bold sign of Aquarius: Saturn, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter. This may have accounted for his wild and reckless character. Saturn in Aquarius in particular would create an individual that knows no fear. Wrestling with crocodiles every day certainly fits that astrological profile.
The reason he was so charismatic is because he had Mercury in Aquarius. Jupiter in Aquarius also bestowed this great man with a generous and humanitarian character. During his lifetime, he donated millions to saving animals and global earth causes. Aquarius is the sign of the visionary and the ultimate communicator. Irwin was the ultimate idealist who is why death is was so tragic.
Many astrologers have noted that his strange death was expected in his natal chart by a fixed T-Square, which is a marker of misfortune. This is a configuration of three planets that looks like a “T” in the astrological chart. The north part of the T was in Leo and in opposition to his Mars in Aquarius, which signifies his bold on that day. He also had Neptune in Scorpio, which can average danger in the water on the other side of the T. Mars in Scorpio was at the bottom of the T shape in his chart. The sign of Scorpio is known for “stinging” and of course he was stung to death by an animal in the water.
He was also born in the sign of Pisces where Mars was also sitting in his chart. That can also average death by water, as Mars symbolizes accidents. This configuration was also part of this T-square shape in his Zodiac chart.
He was born with this T-Square, but it was not activated until the day of his death when a T-Square consisting of Jupiter in Scorpio, Saturn in Leo, and Neptune in Aquarius transited his natal chart and activated his fate on September 4, 2006.
Also on that day, Jupiter formed a square to his Mars, which is the equivalent of having one’s life light extinguished. All of this took place in the sign of Scorpio, which is a ruthless sign to say the least.
Steve Irwin’s death did have one merciful component and that just as he died his natal Uranus was in trine with the progressed Neptune bringing a quick death. It is likely he did not suffer.
